Moving
Objects
- First launch Fireworks
and create a rectangle (if you need to review how to do this, check
back to Lesson 1 or Lesson
2.
- To move an object,
you must first select it. The selecter tool in Fireworks is a
black pointer. If you don't see a black pointer, click on the black
pointer on the toolbar and then select the rectangle by clicking on
it.

- To move an object,
click on the object and drag it to the desired location.
Copying
Objects
- Choose Edit >
Copy from the drop-down menu.
Note that you can also choose CTRL+C (Holding down the Ctrl and C keys)
to copy an object.
- Choose Edit >
Paste or use CTRL+V to "paste" the object.
Exercise
- Create a rectangle
- Create a copy of
the rectangle
- Move the copy so
that it is above the original.
